If you are an Everton supporter already living down under or you are about to move here or visit for a holiday and joining up meeting up with other EFC supporters for a chat, drinks and all things Everton is what you’re looking for then this is the section for you.
Social events with fellow blues is a superb way to spend some time and give you that day out on match day that living on the other side of the planet we all crave.
Events, big games, pub comps etc are what ESCA are all about, whether it be for existing members or new members (membership constantly growing) one thing is guaranteed it's going to be a great day out, lots of beers and a brilliant way to make some good mates.
The last 12 months have been a superb for the blues participating in a number of events and winning them all with the icing on the cake coming on the opening day of the season when we not only won we totally demolished Liverpool in our first ‘all day pub comp‘, the day started at 12.00 and went right through to the midnight kick off for some!
As mentioned our numbers are constantly increasing throughout Oz and to date the events we have been involved in have been held in NSW but going forward it is our plan that events will take place throughout each state, it is worth mentioning that on the last event we had one guy fly in from QLD and stacks of blokes driving down from the Central Coast amongst other places, great effort and commitment and a great base to work on for the future.
Should you have a group of blues fans and want to organise an event anywhere in Oz let us know and through our contacts with other clubs we could help set something up and more importantly promote it on the site.

It’s that time of year again we are pleased to announce details of the first Pub Comp of 2010, teams this year will be Everton, Celtic, Man City & The Shite.
Basically the Pub Comp compromises of Supporters Clubs competing in three events during a Saturday afternoon, Trivia, Cricket Darts and then finally we finish on Pool.Due to demand we have switched venues and people are now able to bring along wives, girlfriends and children as the venue is much more suitable. This link will also give you an idea of the event
http://www.cheersbar.com.au/CheersPubComp.htm
All events are team events with trivia being unlimited in numbers in team and the darts and pool requiring 8 players from each team, many people just come down for the social element to cheer there Club on.The date for next Sydney Pub Comp is Saturday 30th January and will be held at James Squire Brewhouse in Darling Harbour, kick off will be from 11:30 and it normally runs until about 5pm, all in all a great day out and a good laugh played in good spirits with plenty of banter but obviously no idiots, I’ve arranged many of these and they’ve always gone well.James Squire's MC who will also act as the referee for all of the events and the day has a cost of $10 per person but does include some lunch and many great spot prizes throughout the day obviously with a trophy for the winning team.
We really hope that you can all make it for what should be a real good day out so please get in touch withJohn, Lee or Rich on admin@evertonfcto.com.auif you have any questions.

Sydney Supporter's Clubs 5-a-Side Comp,
Venue: Harbord Bowling Club, Cnr Bennet & Stirgess Ave, Sydney, NSW, Sunday 21st February 2010

We're pleased to announce the 2nd Sydneyl Supporters Club Australia 5-A-Side competition organised by TNT Magazine and LoveFootball.
Whilst it’s 5-A-Side squad numbers can be up to 12, plenty of games will be played so a good idea to get a good squad number, a rolling sub system will operate. The Event will be held on Sunday 21st Venue and Everton will be there as winners of the first comp in 2009 (see pic above),
Clubs are already signing up and it's sure to be a great day. The competition venue will be the Harbord Bowling Club on the Northern Beaches, it has bar facilities aswell as food available etc so ideal for teams bringing supporters along, venue for after competition presentation to be confirmed – we have moved from our previous venue due to the demand and this will enable us to use more pitches.
Again we will be using synthetic surfaces so all good from a weather perspective. The cost will remain the same at just $180 per squad, this includes venue hire, officials, insurance etc so great value for money, anyone requiring an invoice on the day please advise and I’ll bring it along. Also on the day we have allocated a pitch for a junior coaching event, Love Football’s qualified coaches will be on hand to ensure any children taking part have a great time, cost will kept to a minimum for this and will advise asap what this will be.
Anybody who is interested in playing please contact Rich or Lee at admin@evertonfc.com.au
Look forward to hearing from you soon, any questions or queries please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Sportsman's Dinner,
Venue: Sydney City RSL, George St, Sydney, NSW, Friday 17th July 2009 7:30pm

I have been working on bringing out ex Everton players etc to conduct Coaching Clinics and Sportsman Dinners. This one in Brisbane and Sydney are the launch pad and allow me to judge of what the response is like.
So I am pleased to announce that in July we will have the pleasure of Barry Horne being our guest for Sportsmans Dinners in Brisbane and Sydney aswell as working with the Coaching clinics.
Please see the flyer above for the full details but one thing is for sure they are going to be superb evenings I am still hoping to get Mick Lyons over for the Sydney do at least and am working with some other players - current players for the future. If you have children playing, the coaching clinics will be of the highest quality and again if this works will have the likes of Rats, Ian Snodin, Big Nev etc etc as possibilities for the next one.
I also have ex RS players and Manure willing to come over but need to make sure that this one works first. I would appreciate your support on this venture, the proceeds are going towards an Academy set up in Brisbane and hopefully Sydney but again it very much depends upon the response which I'm sure as with all ESCA events will superb. It would be good that we as a club and Evertonians can get up and support such a venture - the dinners do not make much money and as such will be running raffles with memorabilia as prizes to make things up.
Thanks Adie Brisbaneblue

ESCA Family Day,
Venue Burleigh Football Club, Surfers Paradise
, Queensland, Saturday 7th February 2009

ESCA held its first Queensland get together on the 7th February at Burleigh Football Club on the Gold Coast. Coming only days after beating the darkside everyone was in a tremendous and joyful mood and ready for a fun afternoon. With the weather at a beautiful 32 degrees it was amazing to see over 70 Evertonians turn up for the days events - cold beer, cold beer and a little more cold beer. Seeing over 20 young blues was also superb and even better was how well all the kids got on together - not a single arguement or carry on all day and night - Born Blue - we are a big extended family.
As we enetered the club at 1-30 the History of Everton was playing with Everton flags and banners everywhere with an array of Blue, white and some pink shirts. The mood was set and it was great not to get ripped off for a decent beer - Corona's at less than $5.
As the day went on more and more Blues turned up - from the North of Brisbane, Gold Coast with some die hards even making the trip from Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne - the equivalent to traveling to the south of Spain for a beer. The kids went outside and started their own mini games - Cahill, Arteta shirts were the flavour of the day with the exception of young Alfie and James who crawled and gingerly tried to walk everywhere there was a ball. "how good is this I thought", we "truly are an extended family and everyone proud to be Born Blue - we are indeed chosen".
The day went on with a BBQ and then the photo shoot which in turn started the "It's a Grand Old Team to play for" etc etc - we all know the rest.
The plan was to go on from our new found home of the Blues in Queensland - a huge thanks to Burleigh Football Club and Tony / Lee for organising the event - to a nearby surf club or where ever to watch the Bolton match. For those who know my wife, a good judge of character, had a word in my ear and said that "no-one would make it to 1am to see the kick-off. Apparently she was right?
The day was a huge success to say the least. Blues came from near and far and it was like a family get together. We sang, we laughed and we had some deep and un-meaninful discussions on all aspects about Everton. To see so many blues together so far away from home and with an age group from 1 to 70+ (Harry, you never did reveal your age but if you know Dave Hickson you must be close to this without any disrespect) was superb. It is great to be an Evertonian and if we each drank 10 Corona"s less we would have seen the match live?
Pub Competition , Cheers Bar, Sydney. Saturday 11th October 2008

Unfortunately we couldn't make it three out of three but we had a fantastic day, as usual we out numbered all of the other teams & that was without Steve jensen & the Central Coast lads. It was really good to see so many new faces & we hope they all felt welcome and we'll see you all again soon. This is the article that will be in TNT this week (w/c 20/10/08) so get yourselves a copy or click on the article below to view it full size.

Pub Competition , Cheers Bar, Sydney. Saturday 10th May

After the success at the beginning of the season it was decided to end the season defending our Pub Comp trophy and so our red friends again provided the opposition in what was sure to be an eventful afternoon. Spurs Supporters Club couldn't raise a team & Newcastle also struggled & finally bailed on Friday!
After the blues winning back in August I was pretty sure that the Shi*e would be fired up to win this one and also to rock up with good numbers after barely scraping a team together last time out and so I was sat in the bar at 11.50 am on my own surrounded by a gang of them (well 8) with no other blue in site. For a moment I thought this is going to be a disaster, people are going to pull the pin at the last minute, the staff are asking where the team is and I didn’t have a clue but then Mick arrived followed by Tony then the Carews and so it went right up to 3.00 o’clock blues just kept arriving to a total of between 25-30 and the Sh*te, well they still had their 8!
We slightly changed the format for this comp, we ditched the poker and brought in trivia to begin followed by ‘Cricket Darts’ and finally Pool. Each event would have 8 from each club (luckily for them) and so our first team went in to tackle the trivia. It turned out to be a close affair during which we won the singing comp (and we had two girls in our team) but after four rounds the blues edged it to take the victory by 31 points to 30 – phew!
Next up the darts, we lost the toss and went in second but at least we knew what to chase, end of the first innings and we have a lead of over 250, hold our nerve and this’ll be easy. We get the first out pretty quickly now just need to hit the two but we could we hit it, not a chance. 8 blokes three darts it was though the two had a spell on it but eventually it fell and we moved through the rest of the team pretty much with ease but had a score of over 600 to chase.. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, the blue boys go about the job and finish off the darts with three wickets to spare, that’s it 2-0 the trophy is ours again.
It was decided that the Pool would be a one v one and would you believe we won that too. 3-0 to the Everton.
Kenny got the MOM and spent his winnings in about 10 seconds buying in a big round, the celebrations then began, and both teams mingled and enjoyed the beers for many hours.
A great turnout by Everton fans and a superb mix of old faces and plenty of new faces ensured that a good time was had by all.

Queensland Blues Get Together, Brisbane, Saturday 8th Dec

Everton v Cardiff City - Trivia Night

Ok so the sound system may not have been perfect and some guys decided to get straight on the beers instead of being in the team but the supporters of both clubs had another great night at the Kauri Hotel, Glebe, Sydney, even Rangers superstar of the 70’s George McLean was in attendance - obviously checking us out for when we have a comp against those boys!
As per script the superior knowledge of the EFC blues proved too much for our Welsh counterparts and as expected Everton bagged another victory under our belts.
The only formal part of the evening was the presentation of the Adrian Alston Australian 1974 World Cup jacket to Steve Jensen from the Everton Supporters Club. At the last Trivial Pursuits evening Steve and his mates bid $800 for the jacket, with all the money going towards the Johnny Warren Cancer Foundation. At the time, the jacket had not been framed, but this has now been organized by Adrian and so this was finally an opportunity to hand over this exciting piece of Australian Football memorabilia.
And so the evening went on, louder and more raucous but the mood was all very blue and very City.

August 11th 2007, Everton v The Sh*te, Cheers Bar, George St, Sydney

Pub Comp - Darts, Pool and Poker
A number of clubs where touted for the opposition for this opening day clash but in the end after our pre season optimism we decided that there was only club we wanted to meet to flex our ESCA muscles and that was the RS!
The event was due to kick off at 12.00 prompt and the blue squad of 28 was in full attendance however the start was delayed due to our oppositions failure to have enough numbers (minimum 10). It was decided to press on and the RS resorted to recruiting two West Ham fans to meet the minimum requirement and get the show on the road. (other RS would turn up later but first blood had already been struck with the ‘small club’ totally embarrassing their opposition)
Darts
All blues players put in a great performance but Alex decided he’d completely take the p*** and single handedly scored more than the RS put together, the 2nd innings was more of the same and so the pattern of the day began to develop.
Pool
Everton 7 RS 1
Say no more but we had to have a one off game for a final in which Adie completed the rout, in all honesty it was embarrassing, comp over the trophy was ours and let the celebrations begin.
Poker
Didn’t need to play but we did even though with the ribbons (actually an ‘85 shirt) on the trophy we all just got wrecked, we lost the poker but victory was ours 2-1 and the celebrations began.
Success was gained before 4.00pm which is the quickest ever in a Cheers Bar pub comp and boy oh boy we did we celebrate, the trophy was filled with every drink from around the bar and all took turns in drinking, Lee fell up the stairs after hugging the toilet, Roy was found asleep in Hungry Jacks and Alex was wandering the streets of Sydney at 5.00am!
Our reputation is now out there and many clubs are wanting an event so watch this space for forthcoming events and many more great days out.
Any ideas for future events then just email us.
